I really enjoyed how this book was written. The story flowed very well and kept you guessing as to what would happened next. This is a story that will have you addicted with all the suspense and introduction of people to the story. This is a cliffhanger that will definitely have you looking for more. If you enjoy paranormal romance then this is your story.
I enjoyed this short read, but it was written very much on the young adult side of the spectrum, and was unexpectedly short. The story was just beginning to get interacting when it cut off abruptly for book two.
However, since I support new authors I am buying book two to see if it hooks me. This book would be good reading if you wanted a light read for a short plane flight.
I really enjoy the premise of this book, and I like the new twist to the paranormal world in that it isn't about vampires and shapeshifters. I think it is a fresh and clean vision of a fantasy world, which is how I like to relax my mind after work. I do think that it drags just a bit here and there, but I'm not sure if that is a flaw in the book or just a reading preference, so I am willing to take that on as my bias. Other than that, I'm excited about seeing where this series goes and LOVE seeing a new author that I've not read before.
I first read Lily in the anthology Falling for Them and enjoyed the story so much I got both Lily and the second book Denial. R M Walker gives us a different take on the Paranormal, I don't care for vampires and was getting bored with shifters. Lily and the 4 young men she meets in college (the American verision of being a senior in high school) become friends. The boys try and convince Lily that magic is real while also coming to terms with loving her. This is a reverse harem series and it is going to be fun watching these 5 young people discover magic, love, threats against Lily and 4 parents who don't realize what is happening.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was fascinated by the British way of referring to things. And even though they are in high school (or college, British thing) the author had me interested in what happened to Lily and her four guys. This is a RH series (reverse harem) but what is referred to as a slow burn due to their young age. I really liked the paranormal aspects and am glad Lily stopped denying her magic (see second book). Now I want the third book because I hope things heat up finally. I totally recommend this series if you like paranormal and RH. Enjoy!! 😀💜
This book drew me in from the first page. I totally liked the FMC and the RH boys. I'm a sucker for a story that has a FMC with issues and strong males who befriend her. Lily isn't abused or neglected, but she is struggling with loneliness and illness. The 4 boys are fun, strong, always good looking, and willing to do what they can to help her come into her own. The writing is well done by the author and while I had to look up some of the English words (I'm so American), it didn't detract from the intriguing plot. I have the 2nd book (Denial) and can't wait to get into it. Well done, RMW, very well done!

Lily has been moving her entire life, never staying in one place more than a year. Just her and her mom, she's used to the constant movement, not really bothering to make friends that she'll just have to leave in the end. But, after moving to a new home at the end of the summer and starting her last year of school before university, Lily meets four boys, Nate, Matt, Josh and Jake. Although some get off to a rocky start *laughs* the four boys quickly become friends to Lily, even as she is wary of making friendships she believes will not last. But, these aren't just any normal guys, and even as she doesn't want to believe it, Lily isn't just a normal girl.
This was a great first book in the series and I can't wait to learn more about what Lily and the guys are and what else is out there.
